The third outcross litter born in the project for increased genetic diversity!
We are happy to announce that the third project litter in the Field Spaniel Club’s project for increased genetic diversity has been born!
The litter born in August 2026 consists of three male and four female puppies, all black. Sire is the seven year old Welsh Springer Spaniel Freckles Jack Sparrow SE27330/2019 and dam is four year old Field Spaniel Periwinkle’s Lovely Luna SE52853/2022
This is a significant step forward in the club's efforts to promote a broader genetic base within the breed and ensure the Field Spaniel’s future as a healthy and thriving breed.
The puppies in this litter also showed significantly more vitality at birth and were more mobile earlier than Field puppies in general.
We look forward to following the development of these little puppies and what they will contribute to the breed's future.
